Rainy Sunday...

It started raining in the middle of the night so I had to get up and put the flysheet on the tent. It's quite easy to do that badly and quite a job to do properly. Obviously I did it badly so the tent was a little leaky but fine.

It's 11.48am now and it's still raining. It doesn't seem to mean it anymore though so maybe it's stopping I've been thinking that for a few hours now but to no avail.

I've consequently got round to doing some long overdue sewing (mitts and waterptoof jacket...) which is good. Oh, my cold porridge was pretty good, I bought a tupperware thing yesterday (which leaks :() and just mix up the oats with honey, salt, raisins, water and some coffee creamer and leave overnight. I'm still working on proportions but this should save me some time in the mornings. No tea though...I'll cope.

The bike computer says 89 miles. That's for the last 3 days tho (Peaks of Otter to Roanoke, day off in Roanoke and riding here yesterday). I must remember to zero it before setting off again.

I've been trying to figure out my schedule this morning too. I've got 3 weeks to get to Nashville. That leaves me a few days there before I head to Bristol TN for the festival. Although I somehow am able to get google maps on the phone even though I don't have a signal I can't calculate distances between places. The question is how far north and into West Virginia do I go before heading back south to do The Crooked Road country music heritage trail. I think the weather may make that decision for me...

I can't tell if it's still raining or it is just rain dripping off the trees, I might see if I can get some miles in today after all. Fingers crossed.

So the rain stopped and I hit the road and here I am at The Swinging Bridge Restaurant in Paint Bank VA, and there is wi fi! Me of little faith...

Anyway, I've eaten and supped and need to hit the road again. Until next wi fi. Adios.
